Commissioned by the Alliantie Ontwikkeling B.V. Jasper Smits Architecten is designing several housing blocks for New Brooklyn. A total of 1,400 new homes are being built in New Brooklyn as part of the Almere Poort development.

The architectural appearance of the new residential blocks in New Brooklyn is sober and bold. The design language is contemporary but also classic and refined. The fine structure of window frames and eaves that characterize Brooklyn architecture has been abstracted in these new housing blocks. All housing blocks have their own identity when it comes to their architectural appearance but are also part of a larger composition, therefore there are similarities in refinement, colours, use of materials and texture.
Block D3 are residential blocks with a combination of ground-level homes and apartments. These blocks are currently under development and will be delivered this year.
